Methodology
Built on 2026-10-02 from 75,535 real Sleeper dynasty trades between Sep 11 and Oct 2, 2026 that included a 2027 or 2028 1st-round pick, from Dynasty Dealer's trade database. A "clean" deal is a two-team trade in which one team received exactly one future 1st and nothing else, and the other received only players (9,073 deals). Each return is priced at the player's current Dynasty Dealer value (real Sleeper trades blended with community Start/Sit/Drop votes) in the league's own format, superflex or 1QB. Values are today's, not each trade's day, so a player who rose or fell since the deal moves its figure; that is why this study reports one window, not a week-by-week trend. 75 deals with an unpriced player (kickers, defensive players) were left out; 53% of superflex deals were in TE-premium leagues. "About the value of" is the player whose current value is closest to the median one-for-one return.
How much is a 2027 1st-round pick worth in dynasty?
In October 2026's real Sleeper trades, a lone 2027 1st bought a median 5,939 in Dynasty Dealer value in superflex leagues (about the value of Bryce Young (QB17)) and 5,826 in 1QB leagues. The middle half of superflex deals ran from 5,301 to 6,887, because a pick projected early is worth more than one projected late; the Dynasty Trade Calculator prices early, mid and late 1sts separately.
Why measure pick value from real trades?
Rankings and value charts are opinions about what a pick should cost. These are prices managers actually accepted: what they gave up, in players, to get a 2027 1st, in thousands of real Sleeper leagues.
Is a superflex 1st worth more than a 1QB 1st?
In this sample, yes: the median superflex return was 5,939 against 5,826 in 1QB leagues, measured in each format's own values. Quarterbacks start in two lineup spots in superflex, so a pick that can become a starting quarterback carries more weight.
